How to measure your waist
Wrap a measuring tape around your natural waist, just above the belly button, keeping it level and slightly loose. Read the number in inches: that is your jeans size. An even quicker way is to measure the waistband of a pair of jeans that already fits you well, straight across while laid flat, and double it.
Which jeans fit is right for you?
- Slim fit: close through the thigh and leg for a sharp, modern look.
- Straight fit: the same width from knee to hem; the most versatile choice.
- Relaxed or baggy fit: roomy through the leg for comfort and a streetwear feel.
- Wide-leg (women): high waist with a full leg, great with tucked tops.
Between two sizes?
Denim with stretch gives a little with wear, so take the smaller size if you like a snug fit. Rigid denim does not stretch much: take the larger size. Every jeans product page on Empulse has a size chart button, and unused jeans can be exchanged within 14 days if the size is not right.
